You might have seen some of my post on some other forums, or attended the first burning man in Elite this year called "Starburn" (3 day space party with SRV racing, Mountain Climbing, etc). I have been talking to technical support and shared an idea with them. They thought it was interesting and told me to post here so the Developers can see it.
The Idea: Futbol/Soccer is the number 1 sport in the world, certainly in UK, Europe, and South America. Since the player base in Elite Dangerous is very diverse and international, it would be awesome to have a soccer ball in the game. Right now commanders are kicking a Guardian Orb around when on long expeditions. It would be really cool if a soccer ball could be coded into the game, and maybe a simple kick emote (since we have arm emotes, why not a simple kick?) It would be a huge draw to the game for new players, and much appreciated by a lot of existing commanders. All some of us want for the holidays is just a soccer ball : ) o7
(not asking for ship interiors or anything major like that, even though they would be nice - especially if there was an option to turn them on and off... so you don't have to run a mile to the pilot seat when doing exobiology or something of that sort)
