Hi, new to the game. I play with an xbox controller and when in my ship, press the right stick down to enter free look mode. Turning my head left and right is fine, but I seriously need to invert the vertical look - it's completely ruining the game for me.

P.S. sorry for the title whoopsie.

For any analogue axis, you can invert it in the keybindings section (controls). If it's a digital one, you can reassign up and down separately by clicking them.

I've been playing 10 years and have never used headlook, except for a short excursion into VR until I realised it sucked.

it is uness but does add a nice vista in the ship or srv
buy a head tracker for a far better experience
can help finding cores if mining i find
could always put it on the mouse too

I tried a head-tracker for a while. Like VR, I quite liked it at first. I still have it somewhere, but for what I do (thargoids, pirates and mining), I find it easier to leave it in the cupboard.

i have mine on voice attack so can switch it on off on the fly with a word as like you say it can be a little disorientating and thus easier without when goiding etc
