Hi

I purchased ED the day before yesterday and spent most of the afternoon playing it, and will spend most of today too as its a Public Holiday

Played the original back in 1984 on my Amstrad CPC 464 with its whopping 64KB of RAM >.<

Love this new version and having fun flying about and trading. Love speaking to other pilots as we wait to get docking permission.

Id like to see some sort of queuing system whereby the station acknowledges your request and puts you in a queuing system. As pads become free you automatically get docking clearance according to your position in the queue.

PS: Sol is cool, I enjoyed my first visit to the original star system. I like seeing what we've done to Mars... Stay clear of the Lave cluster unless you're interested in PvP (or just use Solo mode).

You might want to consider the PvE group MOBIUS, lots of 84 players who are very friendly
In open it's PvP and there are plenty of 'interesting' players out there.

MOBIUS is good. It is indeed a somewhat more civilized version of the galaxy.
Also, there is some PvP in MOBIUS, but it is consensual.
It occurs only in Combat Zones, where you declare for a faction, and is prohibited everywhere else.

Noes!

I joined Mobius. Launched my first flight in Mobius and got kicked out of my hyperspace and attacked. I thought the whole idea of joining Mobius is that wouldn't happen. Never happened in normal Open Play. And the Mobius forum seems to be down.

Mobius is becoming popular now and the griefers are doing their best to grief.
There have been some incidents lately of 'infiltrators'.
My advice is to take a screen shot and report the commander on the MOBIUS forum (when it comes back up).

Unfortunately, MOBIUS can't tell if a CMDR has ill intentions when they apply for the group. Its only after they've done their trolling that they get caught and banned....
Hang in there, they'll be weeded out.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see who the little coward was. Does his name display if I get him in my vision?
