Sorry if thsi has been asked before but the hi res pictures are too large for me to mail to community@frontier.co.uk as requested and they are too big for the picture upload site I use.

Has anyone managed to send them and how did you do it?

Open them in any art program and save them as a .JPG rather than a .BMP.

It's crazy that the screenies are saved as a bmp, mine are just over 100 MB and the game halts for a few seconds when the image is saved...

xnview is an excellent image viewer and converter - and it's free!

Anyway, wasn't the competition only open last week?

Open them in any art program and save them as a .JPG rather than a .BMP.

You do not want to save as a .jpg. jpg (JPEG) is a lossy compression format (this means that information is lost when the information is compressed), so if you want to keep the original quality do not use jpg.

Now what you want to do is save it as a .png, this will take that ~60MB image and compress it down to ~12MB with out any loss of quality (.tiff can also work but .png has better compression depending on the image content).

You can download GIMP (free Image Manipulation Program), and it has the ability to change the file type.
