Hi res screenshots in VR

Is it possible to get the hi res screenshots in VR?

I know there used to be an issue with it when you took a hi res screenshot in VR, that you'd get the double side by side image. Which I had thought that they'd fixed; maybe I'm wrong.

However now I'm getting nothing at all if I try the hi res screenshot short cut, which is still Alt-F10 right?

If you’re an nVidia user the default alt-f10 triggers something on Shadowplay. You need to rebind that and then high res will work again. That said I don’t know if it works in VR properly, you end up with large ‘barrel’ shaped screeners the last time I tried which were useless :(

Hi-res screenshots were...kinda fixed in 2.4

The alt-F10 key will generate a screenshot, but if you move your head in the slightest the tiles that it's made from won't stitch up properly and you'll see mismatches at the seams. The image, at least on my system, is in portrait orientation at a resolution of 9072x10080.

I've even tried leaning forward and putting one elbow on the desk to use my arm to steady my head, but it still looks ugly at the seams. I just went back to the standard screenshot method and as long as I don't upscale it too much it still looks reasonable at 1440p with good processing.

Cheers for that info. I'll have a look at my nvidia settings and remove the similar shortcut from it.

My VR resolution is currently the standard 1280 x 768, which isn't great for standard screen shots, which is why I'd like to be able to do the hi res ones. I don't want to place too much load on the video card by also bumping up the desktop resolution you see. I'll give it a try any way and see how they come out.
