High CZ Allied Captain protection gives me CB from my enemy?

I've just completed a couple of High CZ in which the 'protect Allied Captain' scene started. While not doing particularly much to actively protect it, the Captain eventually escaped, and I got a tick-in-the-box. However, what I also got both times was a combat bond from my enemy. That I did not expect. Unfortunately I did not look to see what faction the Allied Captain was, as was otherwise 'engaged'. Next time it happens I'll pay more attention.

Is this correct or a a glaring bug, enticing me to cash in an enemy CB through inattention on the bond contact screen? It seems very odd.

It's a bug - which is why it's in the issue tracker for the last year or so

Seen that. As I recall they're usually 50k each when it happens. May even be more now since that was before the rebalance.
