High demand trade is where?

So, finally got my cargo over 80 and started looking for some juicy system runs for Palladium and progen cells etc....

Extraction , high pop system and then high tech, high population so i thought.

First 4 routes, totally destroyed economy, 4 units left, other is the same low demand totally over stocked.

Fly 400 distance, begin another search.
Same thing, another 6 routes, economy already destroyed/over stocked
104 tons ore selling for 14 credit profit lol.....

Fly 300 further out, begin new search.
Next 4 extractions, ore sales capped, medium low demand, profits less than 200/ton at high tech stations.

Am I doing something wrong?
Or are the trade tools just destroying any hope for newbies to join the fun?
Am I left to only trade in hydro cells or cobalt ore?

I have not seen a high demand for progen cells or Pelladium and I am sure my system choices are spot on.

Back to rares forever?

You can find great trade routes in either faction. If you don't want to use slopey's tool, then what you're doing is fine. Just no need to go so far. Just wander around looking at prices, and be aware that the most profitable trade routes are those that the NPCs do not exploit--as such, you wont find them in the import/export data.

Depends. That can often mean it's a great place to trade. I'm currently in a system with a traffic report of about 500. Because the prices are great and the supply is in the hundreds of thousands.

we could use some help out in mikunn. Just dont buy from HR, sukra or hwatee, we are trying to push an economic boom and supply their demand would b a big assistance. Think of it this way u are helping those far flung systems boosts their economic status, over time demand and supply ( maybe pop etc should rise to)

Apparently somewhere on the fringe, unsettled systems will hae terraforming colonies which have massive demand to get going could be a goldmine
