Engineers High Grade Emissions degrade?

Hi guys!

I recently found a High Grade Emission by accident (while exploring) and being somewhat informed i knew how valuable high grade Emissions are. So i targeted it and continues my FSS-scanning. However while scanning it seemed to have disapeared.

Now my question: Do high grade emissions degrade, or do they vanish after a certain time or am i just incapable of "refinding" it (maybe i accidentally targeted something else while scanning)

Yes. If you target a USS, exit the FSS and check the INFO panel you will find a countdown timer. That is the time remaining before the USS degrades/disappears. If you are lucky (and at this point, it IS lucky) enough to find a HGE-USS you should check the timer against your distance to it, decide whether you can get there before the USS degrades and haul buttocks to collect the materials found there. o7
