High Grade Emissions spawn rate?

I've been sitting in HIP 114135 for almost two hours and not a single HGE has spawned in that time. Not one.

All others have spawned at an average 5-10 min intervals, some even two at time, but not HGEs.

I've relogged several times –both to main menu and desktop– but nothing seems to work. HGEs simply will not spawn.

And yes, I've tried other systems in the past couple of days with the same result.

Is there a particular pattern to them? Longer spawn interval? Or is it yet another RNG curse?

It isn't uncommon for me to hit a few in a row with no HGEs, sometimes several.

I just meant there is no point hanging out in one place waiting. If they aren't there, move on.

Before long you'll hit a system with a few HGEs up, sometimes even several.

Oh! I would personally filter imp/fed systems only, maybe play with population slider, then fill up on Imperial Shielding and/or Core Dynamic Composites, and whatever else you run into, them trade for them. It will honestly be faster, unless you luck out on a long timer Pharma HGE and close game log exploit it.

Actually, scratch the Fed systems, lots of those are G4/G5 mixes. Imp Shielding is the best bet for filling up to max to trade for something else

I absolutely despise cross-mat trading, but this is the way to be for some mats 🤷‍♂️

sitting is where you got it wrong.

Check inara, look how many systems nearby have factions in Outbreak
You can pick them at random and do a loop between 10-15 systems.
Or you can review some of those systems and pick high pop, single star (so you dont get hge at 400000 ls), eventually Imperial - at least you can top up on imperial shielding and you can trade them for PI if you really dont find any.
