High-Intensity Resource Extraction sites borked again?

Just been hitting up my favourite res site and absolutely nothing - not even a decent small ship spawn. Honestly, don't know what's worse: Them being borked again or the fact that we are never told of the next bork-implementation.

Anyone else or just me?

And there I just thought the particular one I went to the last few days was somewhat weird. Never spawned any ships when I entered from supercruise, only when I exited to the main menu from within the RES, and then loaded back into the game.

High Intensity just means a chance of AI pilots that are > master rank, just reload the isntance for the "cheese" approach to RNG large ships or whatever, or move on to the next RES to keep a constant feel of difference in RES sites.

I thought that initially but then I moved systems and got a high spawn res. The underlying mechanic has been adjusted but the possibility of a good res is still there.

Not all RES are made equal.
I think theres several variables to consider now:

How big is the local Criminal Subfaction? 10% and over gives good spawns it seems.
How secure is the system? Might be wise hunting in medium security systems, and avoiding Democracies and Corporate States.
How valuable is the RES? A rocky depleted ring might have a HRES, but no Miner and thus no Pirates.
What was the time-of-day? Sounds obvious but even NPC pirates/Miners do not like boosting around asteroids in the dark.

I don't RES much, I prefer BHing targets in SC, Kill missions and Undermining Rampages...but last week I made over 6m in just over an hour in a RES in Ugrivirii (Patronage, medium-security ALD Control system) before icing an innocent by mistake (brainfart); sure that was 50% bonus thanks to ALD, but still, was a good RES.

So unless you're in a Pristine Metallic RES in a Dictatorship or at least Patronage/Communist System with a large criminal subfaction then I'd say it's jumping to conclusions to assert that "RES are borked again". People who reload constantly are missing the point, they should be moving on to find the best RES with the best conditions for good spawns, not reloading until chance favours them on the long odds.

Yesterday I got a decente High Res spawn with large ships, phyton after phyton showing up, but when I leaved and come back the RNG gods just gave me eagles and sidewinders. Tried to reload the instance a lot of times but didn't help. It was a res with major reserves. I remember when I mined a pristine but low intensity res, I got a lot of ships bothring me, even big ships.

So Yomamas Feet has some good points. But time-of-day seems not be a influence.
