I have a bit of a bone to pick with the logic and logistics of passenger missions - especially in high population systems. In this game there are systems with billions of people inhabiting them but when you check into an orbital station you will be unable to fill your diminutive ship with enough passengers to any one or even two or three destinations. This is impossibly baffling to me - lets take a few examples from today's day and age to contrast. According to survey's approximately 48% of American's traveled in the past year in 2017. Presently Sol has (rounding down) 22,000,000,000 inhabitants - so let's say 48% travel in a given year - that's 10,560,000,000 people looking to travel. Lets take that number and see how many on a given day might be looking to travel - 28,931,506 people - Nice! Now lets see how many might be looking to travel at any given hour of said day - 1,205,479. How about since missions now repopulate in 10 minutes lets take that down to a 10 minute window - 200,913. Finally we can divide that number by the number of stations present in SOL (8) as possible jump off points - 25,114.
People in Sol(approx): --------------------------- 22,000,000,000
People who travel in a year: --------------------- 10,560,000,000
People traveling in a given day: ----------------- 28,931,506
People traveling in a given hour: ---------------- 1,205,479
People Traveling in any given 10 minutes: ------ 200,913
People at a given station in Sol every 10 min: -- 25,114
Why on Earth can't I fill a measly 130 passenger seats with what should be ten's of thousands of passengers every 10 minutes? Why is it so difficult to find a common destination or even two or three? would it be possible to have more missions or more common destinations to account for what should be many many MANY more people traveling or increase the number of available missions as there should be vast swaths of people looking to travel.
Thanks,
von Luck
