High res screenshots possible yet?

It sounds petty but that's one of the reasons I don't play vr as much as I'd like. Any time I find something I want a high res screenshot of, I have to shut down, swap to 2d, take high res screenshot, swap back. has that changed recently?

Yes, it's been fixed! I tested it some months ago with these shots I took in VR:

I kind of like the over-the-shoulder shot, too bad the canopy "shade" introduced by the holo-me mode ruins it. Clearly I was doing something that is not intended...

Oh and also, you have to make sure the headset is not moving by placing it on a stable surface, otherwise it gets all glitchy.

nice shots! so I have to take the headset off to take a screenshot is what it sounds like, thanks for the info

It is finally “fixed”, in the sense that it is not creating a mosaic of pictures or too blurry. However it is still far from perfect in terms of quality and steadiness. If you want wallpaper quality pictures VR is not good. If you just want a quick picture to post in forum or something else then I feel at least it is possible now.

For me it will have random squared off areas in the picture and yeah it's not a mosaic but it's still messed up. But it makes me wonder how are you guys actually getting some decent shots?
