High resolution

Hello,

I am trying to get the game to run at 3440x1440 the game runs sets my graphics to high but sets the resolution to 1280 when I change that in game it minimizes the game. If I click on the game to bring it back up it flickers for a minute and minimizes again I can uninstall and reset everything but I don't want to play at such a low resolution and ideas?

No idea, perhaps some more information about what you are trying to run the game on might be useful...

Or a chocolate teapot, you decide.

Then you don't have a monitor with a resolution of 3440x1440, you are trying to span it across 3 monitors, and that's a different thing entirely, I suggest starting a new thread with this information because that requires different answers.

OP has an AOC U34G2G4R3 which does have a native resolution of 3440*1440.

Have you tried making that display your primary? Is the game set to use the correct refresh rate?

What does your DisplaySettings.xml look like?

Ah ok, well it does need to be the primary in that case I would suggest. On resetting the display the game would probably pick the resolution of the primary display. I know when I was running an extra monitor on my laptop if I wanted to reliably run the game on it I had to set it to the primary display.

The only way you can do this, i think, is by changing your systems display settings to span across the three monitors, but to be honest, it doesn't look particularly good.

Running a RTX 3070 now from the GTX 1070 in the video.
In settlements get about 20fps at 7680x1440 while single screen at 2560x1440 I get around 30-40?

In space am getting well over 100fps in space then a drop to 60fps coming into stations at 7680x1440p (Odyssey)

Elite has never been particularly demanding, only the bad optimization of Odyssey has been! 😃
