Highest Exciement Coaster

idk, probably 10. I was able to get almost 8 with 6 in fear and 5 in vomit. its not hard actually if you create a small/medium size coaster. If you build it with too many parts where the ride slows down then you r not gonna get a great score...

Highest I've gotten is 8.2 excitement.

The only way to attain this at all, in my experience, is with the launched coasters that eliminate the need for lift hills, and also by minimizing the use of inversions which are absolutely garbage compared to just making small high speed hills for airtime.

Yeah I think this needs some work IMO. Far too much excitement is lost on the lift hills, and the fear factor of any of the more complicated set-piece loops seems to drag down the excitement factor.

Yeah I would definitely agree that it needs tweaking. I think that the first lift hill should raise the excitement over the duration, as in my opinion this is quite an exiting part of the ride, as you are in anticipation of the drop.

Er. It does do that already.

It hasn't on my previous rides. It remains red at like 1.0 as the coaster goes up the lift hill. This should be ever increasing as the higher you go and change from red to green for both excitement and fear. It could go back to red for fear if it goes higher than a certain height but that is a design choice.

Currently it goes all red on the way up and really skews the scores.

Height should be a factor in the excitement quotient. You could then have rides which slow down on a high apex turn and not lose excitement.

Aye, I feel that fear increases on a high apex slow turn as you look about more than excitement but that is the desired affect generally of such elements. And then your excitement builds again as you get close to the drop so it would also need to calculate from the distance of the drop excitement and fear increasing also. This way those elements are much closer to real feelings expected on a true coaster.

It's red the whole way up the climn, but the excitement value / number is higher at the top - still under 3, but it climbs from 0 at the very start to that. I wouldn't expect it to raise higher than that during a climb, tbh.

I would and, I haven't seen it raise even that high yet. I have certainly been on a hype where I am already at 3 at the beginning of getting on the coaster. I would be at a 7 for excitement by the top. If I was only on a 3/10 for excitement then I would be on a very boring coaster which I wouldn't really want to be on.

So you're telling me that when you hit the peak of a coaster and are about to drop into it, you aren't bursting with excitement? It's one of the most exciting parts of the ride in my opinion.

I haven't seen it raise to a 3 either, I find myself dropping the coaster a little way, round a corner or something, just to give it a bit of momentum so that the lift hill takes a shorter amount of time.

The highest excitement I have managed to get is 7.11... so far!

With nice fear and nausea ratings too! I managed a 6.8ish last night on my new Sci Fi coaster with green fear and nausea.

I also attempted to make a coaster that was just one massive loop last night. It was literally a launched exit going up and coming back over the station and entering again. I had to stretch the curve out on top a little and it would have been incredibly exciting, if it wasn't for those meddling peeps. Apparently they don't like being thrown into the station at 85mph [haha]

You can go over 10! With this silly builds I already did in Alpha. Proof:

And if you want fear and nausea with green values you maybe get the best coaster for money:
