Hire a real economist, please!

wasnt David an economist?

Was it?
I thought he was (is) a damn good programmer since reportedly he wrote FE2 in assembly
"Braben originally programmed the game in 68000 assembly language. It had roughly 250,000 lines of code" as quoted by Wikipedia which takes the info from the old Frontier website which can still be found in the webcache

The beauty of ED is if you like doing a thing, pay is irrelevant.
If you like doing humanitarian efforts, then expect minimum wage (would you like fries with that?)
If you like doing a thing but don’t like the pay, then its probably in the best interest of your mental health to find some other thing you like to do that offers a more competitive salary.
So find the thing you like to do and do that thing you found that you like to do, then do that thing well. (My goodness I’m dizzy now 🤪)

I think this could be turned into a fun weekly story told using in-game assets, where by a sequence of funny events the same poor chump ends up out of pocket each week and you're always wondering when the repo men are really going to come! Imagine the credits might flood in if it's popular 👍.

Still bleeding money, here

If you're flying the Krait Mk II in your sig that is a great ship for trade (possible 230t of cargo!). What i would do is to find a good source of a precious metal (Gold/Silver/Platinum etc) and then find a good highly developed system to sell it in. If i do that in Sol (for example) I'd be a billionaire in short order. Just from a most simple trade run.

You all guys boiling in a thread, complaining, bringing solutions and workarounds. But wat if none from dev team still has read the text in a discussion?
