Hire NPCs for a wing

HA! I was just popping onto the forum to suggest just that. I know in the new Multi-crew update they had said that there was the possibility of having NPC co-pilots and since you will have deployable fighters by then it would only stand to reason that you'll be able transition that into having NPCs in a wing with you. Hire three NPCs to go on a mining expedition, or to take on a bounty hunting mission for a hard target, or even have an escort while trading. It would even open up the door for some RPG aspects to the game as well.

You hire on a competent NPC, fly with them and help them skill up with you, then even buy them better ships with better outfitting. Now you have something to do other than credit hoard forever and ever. It'll also make combat far more interesting because you'll have your crew vs their crew. I love the idea, I want the idea, I need this idea.

On the DDF (Design Decision Forum). We talk about it and it should be in one of the future updates. I believe we will have up to 3 Wing men. The AI will have their own attitude so. There could be a risks in that. Like if one pilot is a federation and the Other one is Alliance they might conflict with each other. Or even if one a Bounty hunter and the other one a pirate. So the player might have to worry about stuff like that.
 
Exactly my thoughts. If I can hire a NPC pilot, why can't he fly MY other ship? Some smaller one, like Sidewinder (get it? SIDEwinder!) or Eagles? I understand making cutter wing would be OP, but why the hell can't we have small ship sidekicks? They can be permanenty in witch space (just like you send your ship away, when you're on the planet's surface) and can be called in anytime. When they are destroyed, the pilot is dead and the ship is availble at the nearset station, unless you have no funds to rebuy it (in that case, your ship is lost).
