Hired pilot to follow my jump path

Today I am about 300 jumps from where I want to be.

While I sit here jumping jumping jumping, I think to myself, why can’t my very well paid hired pilot do this for me, and just let me sit back and be a relaxed captain who only takes back helm if the system looks interesting enough for further exploration?

Hired pilots are stupid, thats the reason they don't have an own ship :D

Harmless:
uh...i don't now how to use the FSS, i just keep jumping...

Elite:
meh....nothing i've didn't seen hundred times before. I just keep going jumping...

And a hundred thousand auto-jumps later you still didn't achieve anything :D

Some ppl are under the impression that jumping is a highly skill based game mechanic and don't want it to be cheapened by us lazy pilots, auto jumps and relief pilots.

But mostly it's due to bots.

Aye. I see it the same way. It's not like doing several jumps in a row is pushing most people to their intellectual limit. But the more you can automatize your ship, the easier it is to AFK-"play". And unfortunately you can bet that not only would some people use it to have their unattended sidewinder fly for hours and make money for them, but also plenty of people would feel affected in their gameplay by that and would go on a rampage.

I agree, it's a pain and even without these capabilities it's used in Powerplay and it is wrecking it.
