hiring AI wingmen

is this possible to do? I have been killed a few times on assassination missions because I was outnumbered. the thought crossed my mind just now to have AI wingmen, so I searched google for " elite dangerous AI wingmen " . then I found the link below, which is from this forum ...

after looking at it I then realised it was in the archived forum. im guessing the idea was scrapped ?

Why bother hiring AI wingmen when you've got a whole bunch of human wingmen here on this forum you could hire <grin>

I doubt the idea is purged from the FDev backlog...but who knows how far deep it has been buried in the pile.

AI wingmen would be a very good thing to implement, it would help a lot of players. mayby make the game more popular , some might even dust off there controllers that where abandoned because they where always being killed lol .

Aye, but player with AI wing is a harder thing to make work (I presume).

We need the option in Solo, certainly - but when/if we'll see it, I know not.

If you turn "report crimes against me" on (right panel) then police will come if you are clean and attacked by wanted ships - against wanted assassination targets there is your "AI wing" :)
