Hiring Crew - when you have a full complement you cannot read the bio of potential new crew

I have 3 crew. I go to the crew lounge. I can read the bio on each of my crew members. But.. I cannot read the bio of the crew on offer, not without firing one of my existing crew. This is annoying because I would like to pick crew with awesome bio text - there being not a lot else to care about.. yet?

Also, we really need a crew trade hub so we can auction off the coolest crew members.. I would pay good Palladium for Zoey, Wash, Jayne, Inara, and Kaylee.
