Hmm. Do I really need those kidneys?

They don't list price on their site, they call it affordable..

But they have other products too, gimbal, rudders and yokes.

Cheapest thing they have is the gimbal sans grip for an affordable €1249.
The rudders about €1900..

So when they so affordable...

Looks at the wife and son, thinking how much would I get for them.

I would be rejected as a customer due to my terrible landings and generally awful piloting resulting in excess wear of the actuators.

That no yoke...

The best thing about Kidneys are you only really need one to live yet we all come with two as standard! They are worth a lot if you want to sell one and close relatives will normally have a spare compatible one going if you get desperate.

In all seriousness I'd spend a lot of money on that sort of tech if it was mass produced to the point of being affordable for a few grand.

Affordability is one thing.
What is honestly the real stopper for me from saving up for a few years is actual support.

Ok for what I would consider support.
When something collides with you, you need to feel it.
Elite certainly does not support anything to that degree, best you get is some approximation from control inputs.

And for those that do, it often breaks on every odd patch and wether it's fixed in the next one is doubtful.

Those who do own such rigs or smaller like the:
https://www.nextlevelracing.com/products/next-level-racing-motion-platform-v3/

Which you can get now and for a while for about $2500-$3000 those one seem to spend and awful lot of time where it's simply not working because of software outside of their control.

Does this work with Elite? It’s not showing in the list of compatible games...

Fun thread all. But respectfully even if I had the money and there was support in Elite - I am not sure how much this would enhance my gameplay. In certain moments I am sure it would be amazing. But when I make the time I want to play for hours. Sitting in a chair with a HOTAS and a VR headset seems to work well for this. And sometimes I have a spare hour and just want to jump in quickly, and I am not sure how well this would work let alone the space it takes and it would likely kill my cat :).

If anything I want a sound vest, that vibrates bass through your body at the right time - my understanding is this is independent of game support - so feeling the vibration of the station slot or weapon hits. There are a couple I am keeping my eye on.

Forget that! If Frontier don’t hurry up and pull their finger out I’m gonna turn my back garden into a life size cobra mk111! Lol
