Hmmm surface missions.

Having successfully completed a hostage recovery one i've now embarked on another one to recover some ceramics.

So i land at the crash site and ah.... what i need is not there. Hmmmm maybe there are some more clues elsewhere. So off i go fly around a bit pick up some bounties refuel etc but nothing further about my mission.

Ok maybe i need to search a bit more around the wreck, so back i go and land and what's this a load of new goodies have magically appeared at the wreck but still not what i want!

So do i just keep going back until it spawns what i need (surely it shouldn't work like that?) Is the mission bugged? Or am i missing something else?

Yup, am having the same problem. Need ceramics from wreck site, am on correct planet with wreck site. This re-spawns every time I logoff or go back for refuel OK but never with the Ceramics
Also when on approach the scanner decides that the wreck has moved a few kilometers.
Explored all around site, even to about 3Km out. Found sentry skimmers guarding lots of nice stuff which I've nicked and sold on
Have been back to local station to fuel up the SRV, (need a fuel pump in the bay).
Anyone got any ideas?

Addendum: Had to abandon in the end - spent about 8 hrs game time on this and an estimated 25 spawns of wreck sites. No ceramics
On the plus side I got a lot of experience driving my SRV about and collecting materials, shooting skimmers and defence turrets and collecting the booty they were defending
