Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Hmmmmm.............

I was passing through the Limapa system and called in at Kovalyonok Port.

Saw this.

It is well within Aisling space, yet an independent system with a fed (minor) presence.
That's a Faragut isn't it? They are Fed ships.............

Something is fishy.

Neat find. Speculating it could have a history of earlier Federation fringe settlement, but then it got exploited by Aisling space soon after the first expansions since the last hyperdrive breakthrough. And so the cruiser and dock suddenly got stuck there taken over by Aisling loyalists. Or Hudson lost a control system nearby from turmoil sometime.

Interesting... Are you gonna attack it?

Lemme think about that...I'm in a python set up for exploration, and I'm only novice. The faragut is quite possibly fully operational and within the fire zone of the station....Ok I've thought about it and there's no chance of me even deploying weapons lmao.
:D

There's every chance it is all innocent, but I'm going to do a closer flyby and see if there are any recognisable markings. If I see one worthy of note I'll post the pic.

Ok, so this is NOT a new build, this Faragut is all busted up. Which raises more questions than answers.

1) The Little Princess is playing the "Humanitarian" card.
2) She's got no control as regards what goes on in her controlled systems.
3) She does not care what goes on in her controlled systems.
4) She's playing both sides of the game.
5) The powers that be are making fools of us all by setting us against each. By which I mean we get all busted up in their "Fight" but in reality it makes no difference to them, it's all just business and a way of keeping the populace in check and too busy to notice that there really is no fight.

Someone scuffed the paintwork.

Anyway, I'm off into the deep Black. Have fun.

That is the new Empire cloaking system. It makes any ship appear as if it belongs to another faction.

It looks abandoned from prior turmoil. And now being scavenged and gutted for federation modules, rare ship materials, and reverse-engineering research. Don't worry, the crew were seen safely off and not sold into slavery. Our princess is gracious!

Well ... There is talk that the Feds are renting their Faraguts to independent systems for help in their wars ...
Maybe it's one that's been rented and now they're patching it up before they return it..?

Seriously though, we need to understand how Power spheres work. It's not that by expanding into a sphere of systems, all systems suddenly turn Imperial. It's merely influence over that part of the bubble. Which is enough to ban slavery etc., but there still can be systems and factions loyal to Federation, even though it is harder for them to persist. Sorry for ruining the fun. :)
