General hold input for hardpoints

An option for hardpoints to remain extended for as long as the button is held, then retract when it's released.
This could be useful for the X56 HOTAS from Logitech, which has a slider switch.
Additionally, separate buttons for switching to analysis and to combat mode (rather than toggling between them) would be nice.

So in addition to two triggers, the throttle, the stick, the boost button, the FA button/toggle, the heat sink button and the chaff button we have to hold down a button to keep the guns out?
Seems a little too much even for those with a free slider available to make it behave the same way it does now.

The Logitech software for this is .
I've tried with Joystick Gremlin too, and I can't get it to work.
I don't really see a downside to adding an optional setting to make the hardpoints work how I mentioned.
If they don't add it, fine. Game devs work in mysterious ways, but I don't see a reason not to.

The software works fine. I dunno why there are so many gripes about it. You want to change it to bands, the default 3 should do. Pick a keypress to toggle hard points, at the top band program to press this key, at the bottom band do the same. Viola, now when you move the slide at the top and bottom it will toggle hardpoints. The only problem is it won't remember which end is "supposed" to be deployed and which end is stowed. So just press the actual key once to reset if required or always remember to have the slide at the stowed position before exiting the game. Or just live with it being at a random position for maximum spontaneity. 🤷‍♂️
