When you glance over to view your crewmates hologram it looks so real from your seat position, it's hard to tell if you have a hologram crewmate or a real flesh and bones NPC one.
Are the holome crewmates projected from the chair the holome is seated in or is the hologram free to roam about the ship? They seem to be able to grab and move the controls so are they hard light Rimmeresque holograms? Do they have haptic feedback so the holouser can feel what is hologram is doing? Could a pilot get up from his chair walk over to the co-pilots seat and punch his co-pilot in the face? Would the punch land and the holouser yelp in pain or does the pilots hand just punch air?
To avoid confusion I think Galnet should issue all humantity with stick on capitol letter "R"'s for every persons forehead. Citizens would be advised to always where their "R" if they wanted to be treated like human beings. Foreheads bereft of an "R" could be that of a holopresence real faked or potentially hacked and are not to be trusted. The stick on "R"'s would need some sort of anti hologram technology. Those wishing to telepresence would have to temporarily remove their "R"'s for the telepresence technology to work.
