This suggestion is, in a way, going outside the boundaries of ED, but I will post the idea anyway.
The graphics and game mechanics for ED are excellent and could form the basis for other types of sims.
This 21st century ED is a descendant of the 1990's Frontiers Elite and First Encounters. I played FE on my
Amiga 2100 along with another Amiga classic, Stealth Fighter.
What I would like to see when we are able to leave our ships and wander around the various stations, is
to step into a holodeck (Similar to those portrayed in Star Trek), pay whatever credits, and play Stealth
Fighter but in 21st century graphics.
Of course, in the real world, you would pay real money to buy the game to download it and play in a
holodeck, but the possibilities are endless.
Elite Dangerous is vast and with a multitude of things to do within it, but after a year of playing it, a bit
of diversity would be a welcome thing and would actually help to preserve longer term interest in the game.
