Hologram Alphabet

I'm familiar with that. Indeed I have my display brightness turned down to about 20%. Yet even when I crank it to 100%, the holograms still cloud the display. In a couple of my ships, I cannot see critical displays if they are used. It's basically useless unless I can turn the intensity down on the alphabet separately. I'm disappointed in the product to boot--seems a hasty mash-up.

I think you're referring to the holographic alphabet bobble head cosmetics, if so there's no way in game that I'm aware of to alter their brightness. They even stay on when you turn the HUD off.

It may be possible using a third party HUD editor or reshader if you're on pc, I can't offer any solution that way as I don't use them

Certain ships in Odyssey have very bright LED type displays right behind the HUD and these sometimes block the HUD, no matter how bright or dim you make the HUD.

Are those the ones you mean? They annoy me also. I think it's an Odyssey bug.

I actually find the solid "bobble-head" letters suffer more from being excessively bright. When light from the star illuminates yellow letters / characters for example they are really distracting.
