Holy Grail of Exploration?

I've just been reading and admiring some of the great shots you've managed to acquire while exploring so I thought I'd add the one I've just discovered:

Earth-like with rings orbiting a Neutron Star. Got the screen shot of the system info as well. Once I get back to civilisation I'll post its whereabouts.

(also, I wish I had known how rare water-giants are... I failed to take a shot of one I found a while back (oddly in the middle of a cluster of Neutron Star / Black Hole systems way away from the Galactic Core))

Hope this is okay as a first post!

My favourite has been undiscovered binary earth likes with background nebula. Spent at least 30 minutes admiring that system. A cool 180,000 credits all in two scans. Ditto on the posting system name once claimed :)
Check bottom right of screenie for the other EL:

Agreed! I love sitting above an ELW, imagining what the view into the heavens would look like.... especially outside of a nebula and star cluster full of O and B stars!

I haven't had an EL for while now, loads of WW and Terraformables though. Had a couple of systems in the last 1kylie which had water giants, one system had two.

Great first post, Great find too.

(In truth, I'm green with envy, I've been out here for frickin' months and have yet to come across something as cool as that!)

Have some rep.

The first time I found an earth-like in a system with a neutron star, I remember wondering how differently their astronomy and physics might have developed (if life managed to survive, at any rate). Relativistic effects should be a whole lot more obvious to people there.

On my current jaunt I've been looking for interesting binaries and planetary pairs.

I finally found my first pair of co-orbiting ELWs which was a nice treat, I also came across a system with just a black hole and a neutron star but I suspect they are not that uncommon but what really impressed me was a binary pair of Wolf Rayet stars which I never even considered as a possibility as Wolf Rayets seem to be pretty rare. (Details to follow when/if I get home).

Now looking for a binary pair of Carbon stars but not with a huge amount of hope.

Not so much the holy grail of exploration, more the squashed muffin of exploration, but I came across this ovoid shaped gas giant a little while back. Only one I've ever come across.

Nice! I cannot remember the last time I came across an ELW, I can count all my ELWs on one hand, and have fingers left over.

My holy grail would be an earthlike with an earthlike moon. Not found one yet. Found a few water world moons, one at least was terraformable. Found a few binary earthlikes as well.

Not bothered about earthlikes around neutron stars as they would not be inhabitable. I'm interested in planets in which people could live on.
