Thanks. I forgot how much fun this game can be... (I've been critical of the story progression of late).

The Friday night drunken PvP (and a bit more sober Saturday PvP) was a blast. Made some new friends and acquaintances (even innocent guys that I shot at), linked up with some old ones. Won a nice duel against a vulture. Lost a couple to FDLs. Kamikazed a Vette, and got the cascade torps out just seconds before my demise.

Then I took the Viper IV on a satisfying engineering trip. Met a new friend out there and had a sweet duel against his courier. Got back and helped a friend out with his first PvP duel.

Winged up with a mate for some RES mining, shot a cop, had to bug out. Winged up with some good guys for HazRES mining. Got to watch (in VR) the whole RES go up in flames while my turrets blasted away, my collectors collected, and my wingmates fought off a wave of pirates. Had to bug out at the last minute when things got too hot. Made it. Sold a fair deal of Painite and turned in millions in bounties.

Think I'll go on a passenger/explo trip to finance a RES mining conda. Something that I can solo High RES in. And maybe I'll kit up a FAS for PvP. I love my Vipers, but they just can't stand up to the bigger guys when the CMDRs know what their doing.

Indeed it can be, can it. Same for me: Either Fuel Ratting or PvP – no, not griefing/seal clubbing, absolutely not –, in my case preferably in wings, are awesome. Two sides of a coin sort of, but both unparalleled ... since both have real players on the other end, not just scripts.

I'm not too seal clubby. I try to make sure everyone has a good time. Still, it's nice to go out every once in a while and let the darkness flow through you :)
