Well I just docked at Vinge Ring in Bakaduninka after a 5 week trip out to pas 20Kylies
Took in a few Nebula, found a few ELW's
Found a good few Black Holes and massive type O's
Have to admit to being really nervous for the last 1,000Ly and was glancing at every thing with the eye to it being an enemy
I also was worried I wouldnt remember how to dock and was positive I would smash into the toast rack or into the mail slot.
I was fearing a gank all through the final few systems.
After god knows how many thousands of Ly and over 2400 sytems spanning 5 weeks Im home.
Will sort through my holiday snaps and post some pretty soon, first to sell the many pages of data and earn some monies.

Let me know how long it takes you to sell that much data and how many creds you get for it. I am currently 32kly out with 2200 systems and planning to probably stay out until I hit ~20k systems, depending on the route I take.

Well I've been selling it now for nearly 1 hour and Ive made 12 million and am already at Pathfinder.
It takes an absolute age but it is nice to go on the map screen and see "Discovered by Bacon Sarnie" all over a nice swathe of systems :D

Another half hour of selling data then Im off to bed.
Im already planning my next trip out lol.
Going to give PP a fair go though, see if I can find some temptation to stay for a while.
If not then its out directly East from Sol to about 20 or so Kylies then anti clockwise round until I start missing people again.

Welcome back mate. Three more days and I should be home too. As usual at this stage, I can't wait to dock.

As of 1.2 (now) it takes between 40-50 mins to sell data on 1000 systems, in really busy times as much as 65 mins !
I sold 2600 last week and it took just over 2 hours. 20K systems, at a guess, 15 hours !

I'm just about 1/2 way back at the moment. Honk and scoop for the time being. Kind of explored out now I've got the idea of getting an Anaconda in my head :)

Nice one on making it back yourself, I'll be coming in on solo for the last 1000LY; I really don't want to lose all this data because of some trigger happy 'person'

I didnt see a single blip on the scanner, not a hollow or full one until I hit where I docked.
I did toy with the idea of solo to be safe, decided if I started seeing hollow symbols around me I would, didnt see any, still havent.
I went to bed at 10:30 last night and still hadnt finished selling date. Im up to 26 million and a Pathfinder now.

This is true. Some jerk in a Cobra tried to light me up about 350ly from inhabited last night. I tore him a new one and he bugged out, but I notice the shenanigans are getting more and more common. Just trying to get my ASP, but the griefers are making it harder. Will probably go solo just to get my data back.

3 hours into selling data and so far up to Ranger and 47 million credits.
I havent had to resort to Solo so far, Im docked up now anyway but so far I havent played Solo at all.
Hope to keep it that way, I crave interaction with others lol

How did you travel? Fast or economy navigation?

Scanned stars only, everything, or everything but ice balls and asteroids?

How was the ship when you got back? Hull integrity, etc.?

I'm around the 2400 system mark myself and almost at the galactic rim so I'd like to compare notes.

Happy with that for just about 5 weeks.
Starting to plan the next trip out.
Just sold the Asp and bought a Sidey so I can go pick my vulture up.
Needed to get out of The Fried Slice.

I always travel fastest, economy gets you no where quickly
At first I scanned every orb out there, every icey rock and dust ball and a few belts.
Later I became more selective, cherry picking the nicer planets, earth likes etc.
She was down to 86% hull and integrity cost me nearly 30k to sort lol
