home station

I like that you can store equipment for you ship, but how about taking it up one more step let us have a home port/station where we can store commodities that we don't want to
sell just yet because we are trying to save the up for a quest once you get close to completion and boom you die with them all on your ship you have to start all over. also you could
get unique quest from that station for commodities or supplies the keep it going

What quests does not allow you to partially deliver the goods you already have collected?

I think based on previous comments etc from FDev, storing cargo is problematic, as it can be abused in ways it was not intended to be used. So therefore it is better to ask for those quests to deliver cargo that you have at the moment, and keep doing this until you have delivered all the cargo.

I think this is about unlocking tech broker modules, they don't accept partial submissions.

Better mission rewards (including those needed for tech brokers) are available to more trusted Cmdrs (friendly/allied). You can even complete a mission and collect the reward later in a cargo-ship. However there seems to be a limit to the number of active missions.

As Misty_Dark says, Frontier seems to prefer avoiding problems that result from privately stored cargo.

Can you find a hidey hole on a planet and eject all cargo? Will it stay there after you eject it, assuming someone doesn't come along and take it? Or, does it reverse spawn and just disappear when you leave to go get more?

If the instance is not somehow kept alive by a different Cmdr taking over hosting, everything not persistent will vanish.
If you eject cargo, it has a limited time until it is destroyed (and the instance does not have to keep track and sync potentially thousands of entities floating around).
