I´m surprised that nobody has mentioned Arthur C Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey, etc). Heinlein, Asimov, and Clarke were known as the "big three" of science fiction.

Erm...

Arthur C. Clarke
Bender Bending Rodríguez

Stephen Baxter
Arthur C Clarke
Gentry Lee

for arthur c clarke, have the giant cylinder from rama slowly traversing the galaxy. completely random when and where you might see it.

Patrick Moore (a Lunar city in the Mare Orientale which he discovered)
Arthur C. Clarke (a Lunar orbital station)
Carl Sagan (a Martian city founded on the site of the Carl Sagan Memorial Station)

... on the first two pages I looked at.

By the way, I'll just take this opportunity to repeat if I didn't mention it before: Brian Cox sucks. On no account must he get into this game. He is a servant of 3vil. He is the impostor papa-hero-pilot Berg Katse in episode 3 of Gatchaman: The Giant Mummy that Summons Storms: http://youtu.be/muB9Hk-L5ek

That is all.

Well if there is one unsung person that has contributed to society and done more amazing things than any other man I can think of at this minute it would have to be Brian Blessed. This man has done everything,
But I cant think of anything notable within Sci-Fi.

^^^ There you go.

Gordon's ALIVE?

(He was in Blake's Seven and Star Wars (EP1) too).

'Hawk Men... DIVE!!!'

Skipped a few pages so may have missed it, but I sincerely hope Brian Blessed got a mention........

Oh yes. Brian Blessed. Good call. Big Mars-enthusiast. And Mars-look-alike. Should have a Martian orbital station named after him. Or at least a suburb of Olympus Village. I've just uploaded onto YouFace his 'Ascent of Mars Mountain' documentary, in which he only successfully trains to climb OLYMPUS MONS, which apparently was nowhere to be found on the web, with people still looking for it. Picture/sound quality's not great I'm afraid, but the documentary certainly is.

'That must be one hell of a planet you "Men" come from!'
