Horizons HOORAY! Federal Corvette Gets Its FIRST Paint-Job Pack!

When did this get released? I haven't heard anything about it, and stumbled on this by accident while I was up buying the Asp X Ship Kit.

While I am not a huge fan of the Military Style Paint Jobs since they all tend to be rather dark and unremarkable, I am thoroughly sick of the Plain Jane gray the Corvette has been stuck with since it released over a year ago.

Did I buy it? Hell Yes! [up]

I have been complaining about the total lack of Paint-Job support for both the Corvette and the Cutter (Which also got its first Paint-Job ), so even though I more prefer the lighter color schemes and some of the Vivid color packs, I want to show my support for my favorite ship finally getting a new look! :D

I was looking on the site just on the weekend and didnt see it, so i hope paints go on sale for the holidays i might just stock up on a ton of them.

Not only that but you can get to enjoy the new corvette colours from the cockpit of your fighter :D Win win!

Maybe it "quietly" released today?

Like I said above, I was up on the store buying the Asp X Ship Kit when I noticed that the Corvette had a (1) next to it which obviously was a curious change from the previous empty space. ;) When I clicked on the Corvette link.... Boom! There was this new Military Paint Job package for 7 bucks USD! :D

I just launched the game to check all these out, and the Launcher doesn't even mention this or the new Cutter Paint Job pack being available for purchase! You'd think Frontier would be making a big deal about this since it has taken so long for them to FINALLY give these two popular and much coveted ships some new outfits! ???

Oh well... Looks like I did the right thing by creating this thread. :)

Yeah. It's fugly. No black, no white and the available colors are muted and blech (I think those are the actual names of the colors!). In which universe please, are "military" machines painted red?

Gotta agree with you. I finally got a chance last night to check out this paint job pack I bought for my Vette and.... Yuck is right! They are all basically the same! Hardly any variation to the colors at all. Very dark for one thing.

I would have much preferred some contrast options like the White and Black you suggested along with a few brighter colored options thrown in too. Considering the price they are charging for this first offering, they could have surely done more to make this a value instead of kind of a rip off.

On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, I give this paint package a (2). And I am being generous at that! [down]
