So, like some of our fellow members, I too have struggled with the ability to feel safe in my purchase with ED on the PS4. I have been looking forward for this game for a very long time. The lack of information so close to launch has eroded away my building enthusiasm. [where is it]

BUT! I decided to keep an open mind and keep watching the forum. After reading the posts today from Llyod Morgan-Moore and Brett C, hope has been restored.

Therefore, like the other part of the community has been pushing, just keep calm and wait. [big grin]

Trying to keep an open mind too, I would prefer some actual information rather than a "we hear you" message, but I hear you. ;) (plus its better than no, go away, we will tell you nothing scrubs, or worse still being ignored).

Gary posted some time before we would be getting information closer to launch, so far the information is, we will be getting information, come on FDev don't let us down. I hope its worth the wait (the information, I know the game will be, I have faith there actually...)

Stormy - let me assist you in casting your mind back to through the last 6 months when we repeatedly had confirmation after confirmation that ED would be released in QUARTER 2 of this year... and so quarter two arrived in April......and after months of no information we get a release date of 27 June 3 days before end of Q2.

FDev - all true and they stuck to their word. I expect an announcement of some sort on 26 June... Fdev will still be true to their word...and it would be empirically accurate. Id like sooner but I am not hopeful - then I can be pleasantly surprised!!

Can't argue with that logic, you are right, we have been here through the "JUST GIVE US A DATE" riots too. :)

To be fair...I re-read my post and it paper to suggest we only got 3 days Notice!!! which we didn't.

Didn't Xbox only get 1 days notice, or was it a week?

I'm confident it's going to be a fine game. Seemingly the 'no news is good news' is the normal FDev strategy. We have to get used to that, and don't get ourselves ed up. The best commanders are the cool headed ones. So keep it cool dudes and dudettes.

So true. I remember seeing 'Unforgiven' for the first time and thinking 'how on earth is this going to play out?' and of course it's magnificent. I am going to emulate Teddy Sherringham in space, because I can't be Marcus Rashford.

I would like to point out that FDev themselves have encouraged us to "keep their feet to the fire" as it were (in a none medieval sort of way). Stormy even got a namedrop from one of the high-ups at FDev encouraging him to continue asking his questions! We all have a pretty special relationship to the FDev forum reps, and like Monkey recently said, "I only pick on those I like, so be honored (paraphrase)."

Brett's post in particular, I believe, was likely a result in "reading the tea leaves" in the forums over the last couple of days. If we didn't have the freedom to express our frustration, would this have happened? I also think Brett knows us well enough to know that we're some of FDev's biggest fans (I love you FDev!!!) and doesn't feel threatened when we get frustrated. We're no more his enemy than my wife is my enemy when she gets frustrated with me. Now if Brett hangs out over in Dangerous Discussions, he's going to need a lot more Snicker bars ;)

All of that said, amen OP, HOPE DOES EXIST! I look at the moon and the stars at night and think to myself, "Soon.. Very soon!!"

I have been busy, I liquiddated all my holdings and reinvested them all excep for one download copy of ED, in the Mars coporation. As a major stock holder now, Snickers are issued only by me.
