Hope we get interesting new Large Ships

Large ships offer so many possibilities, I really hole we get some interesting ones. I don't have interest in the current Large ships because the are basically sluggish Fighters with bigger guns. Snooze.

A Large ship with sweeping horizontal views and sideways mounted Hardpoints for broadside style fighting.

A Large ship that can carry multiple SLF Hangars, and mostly Hardpoints that are ideal for Turrets.

Etc.

Yes I know the Tonka-10 Civic offers some non-Fighter like possibilities, but there's know way I'm gonna fly that thing until something is done to make that atrocious Spoiler be gone.

We need a Large ship. Guardian-human hybrid but better than the paper SLF. Jumprange when stripped for exploration better than the Conda (Guardians were superior at FSD, any human/alien hybrid should crush even the Conda). Can be garbage for trading as Guardians were most known for exploration and anti-thargoid activities. Godly at anti-thargoid combat (extremely close fixed hardpoints, none of that small nonsense either, Large's like Krait Mk2 would be good). Since it's Guardian based should be able to equip more than 4 Guardian weapons without a problem. Needs SLF too for deploying Guardian SLF's in addition to its own firepower to bring the pain to Thargoids

Good cockpit view can also be a thing for the explorers but should have a way to not be paper thin exposed. Maybe have teh hardpoints mounted on arms like how the SLF has to guard the cockpit per say (lets us watch them firing too!)

In reality we only have 3 useful large ships. Conda, Cutter, Corvette. "What about the T-9, T-10 and the Beluga?" If you have a cutter you won't use the T-9 unless you REALLY love the T-9, T-10... well it's a T-10. I don't need to say more, Beluga, sure she looks nice but more like a paperweight.

I use T-9s quite a lot since their buff, and would like a ship with more cargo capacity, over 1,000t at least.

No weapons at all, make it reliant on an slf for offence but strong shields and huge armour so it can be easily pirated by novices, a bit like the new mega ship scenarios.

I'd say a top speed of around 100m/s with the same manoeuvrability and jump range as the T-9 and the drift of the cutter.

I'd like to see an even larger passenger liner. Call it the humpback or something. I'm imagining a true whale of a ship, with minimal fins. Decent shields, 15 small hardpoints, turns like a moon, and with 5 class 4, 5 class 5, 2 class 6 and 2 class 7 internals.

I'd love a warship so big it can't actually dock at large stations but rather you get into a 1 man ship that's docked in it's bay, Goes and dock in the station, Buy any fuel and repairs and then go back to the main big ship, I know it'll never happen and we'll only ever get reskins of existing ships but I can dream.

The Anaconda looks like a long pointy shoe to me. I'm sure it's a fine ship and does all the things the Anaconda lovers want it to do but I can't get over it looking like a shoe. I'll never say never when it comes to buying one but it's not really a ship I can see in my fleet in the foreseeable future.

I dream of a day when ship manufacturers will realIze its a good idea to put a rear turret on ships that have a backend the size of a city block.

I would like to see player mega ships in game, slow tanks that are hard to kill. Not the real mega ship we have in game, but bigger than our large ship we have at the moment. Slow speed, but high jump range. Can carry a modified sidewinder with no FTL drive for interplanetary landing and can be npc or a real multicrew controlled ship. A large explorer class ship for deep space or a deep space mega cargo ship.

These ship would only be able to have turrets and or missiles. Can't land on planets without using the modified sidewinder they can carry a buggy. Can have multicrew of 4 and can carry 4 wee fighters or 2 wee fighters and 2 modified sidewinders.

Docking at stations you would use the modified sidewinder to dock.
Edit: The sidewinder can only be outfitted on the your large ship and not a station and cannot be engineered like player sidewinders. This would be abused if you could engineer it.

Yea i would love this.

I stockpiled the likely buying price of a Panther Clipper on the off chance, but I wasn't remotely surprised that it didn't turn up.

It's been medium ships all the way this year. My theory is that the devs don't want to put off relatively new players by dangling in front of them a shiny but expensive new toy whose acquisition seems an impossible, discouraging distance away (even if experienced players would know how to get the money for it pretty quickly).

What we need is a multicrew overhaul and then to make MC mandatory for big ships.
What we don't need is more big ships with nothing to use them for and nothing to distinguish them from the rest.

Why is your ship, inverted? LOL

Agree with others who have mentioned Large ships unable to dock that must send smaller ship for supplies. Deep exploration/Mobile "Sub-Station" type ship would be awesome. Would really go a long ways in developing the mining aspect of the game. Once the Void Opal rush cools off, dedicated miners would be off on months long mining ops in far-flung systems slowly filling their multi-kiloton hold. While the Cmdr mines a ring or planet surface, his Large ship, the Nostromo, waits in orbit with most modules turned off to conserve fuel for the long jumps home at some point.

Talk about immersive! Especially if Space Legs dropped and you could walk around said Ship . . .
