Just post in here your hopes for the next new ship, if it is an original elite ship or a new one, it's size/purpose/cost/style...





The Katana

- Purpose: Fighter and explorer
- Cost: 900.000 credit (13 Millions maxed)
- Speed: the fastest of all
- maneuverability: above average
- Hull mass: 150 T
- max cargo (with shield): 34 T
- Fuel capacity: 16 T
- Jump range: 10 (stock) and 28 (upgraded)
- Hardpoints: 4 Class 2
- Upgrades: Class 4

The prototype was a racing ship, high tech corporation bought the concept to make it the perfect ship for aggressive explorers, it is designed to be fast, travel far away and come back safely thanks to it's arsenal, but can't trade well

I'm hoping for the Fer-De-Lance or the Imperial Courier. Something that is a mid-class fighter ship. Cost between 1mil and 10mil for stock would be nice.

If it's 17m upgraded I think at a certain point an ASP would make much more sense instead of continued upgrades...

Lakon Type 6.5 freighter. Exactly the same as Type-6 but bigger FSD and 150t cargo capacity (with shields). Price around 6M w/o upgrades.

Because after 1M credits worth Type-6 grinding 17M credits for Type-7 feels like low wage job rather than a game.

I'm hoping to eventually see the Saker Mk III and the Imperial Explorer. Loved both of them in FFE. The Saker could also be the first dedicated Alliance ship.

Saker: A bit like an Eagle, but less combat oriented and more multi-purpose instead. Like a breed between an Eagle and an Adder maybe.

Imperial Explorer: Serious heavy duty exploration vessel, especially if/when FD adds some more advanced exploration mechanics. For instance, if wear and tear would prevent smaller exploration ships from getting further the Imperial Explorer could serve as a sort of tender to provide overhaul and supply. Size-wise it should be almost but not quite on the level of an Anaconda.
