Proposal Discussion Hoping for an interesting discussion [Space Sims]

Ok, sorry my language was too harsh. Maybe I meant offtopic? I clicked on the link from someone discussing something about needle and thread and wasteland scifi ? What? Did I lose the plot?

Hi Thargon, it was me trying to discuss Space Sims with you. And yes! You lost the plot, you silly buffoon lol.

Shores of Hazeron isn't 'wasteland scifi'. It's a Space Sim through and through. One of the most interesting and in-depth Space Sims ever proposed imo. And a good one to discuss in your thread, i thought?

If you really did fail to comprehend SOH have another look...

You will have to broaden those brush-strokes tho ;)

Ah my finest posts, always either late posts or quick read posts :) I still think the website looked really strange :D

How about this Thursday after 8pm. PM message me and I'll send the IP addresses when its set up.

Ok sounds good, give me some time to install the game, and see if I can get it running :)

Worth a shot in the dark.

I came across this page today:

http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/iwar2.html

Nice to see nvidia analysing an old game. Shame I still can't get it running (in a playable state) on a modern PC though :(

If you have an NVIDIA card, then you could try activating 'Coolbits', which should give you the option to underclock your GPU. Be careful of the land mines though, unpredictable results may occur with the wrong settings... :)

I can set up a I-War 2 server but I've got no idea if anyone else can see it or log on to it.

Stephen Robinson (One of the designers of I-War2) is on the gog forums but I think he's stuck as well.

And back to topic. There's been a ton of new big-development space-sim games on the immediate horizon too. Looks like gonna be super-saturated with space sim games too. I hope they have longevity.

- EVE-Valkyrie
- X-Rebirth.
