Horizons Horizon and facetracknoir

Hi fellow commanders,

I can't make facetracknoir work on horizon. It was working perfectly fine on the vanilla game, but now it doesn't regiser that elite is running.
Anyone getting the same issue?

Cheers,
Cmdr so mean

Having the same issue. Had the same issue in the Beta. No other changes.

FTNIR is:

installed to c: drive
running freetrack 2.0
FreeTrack interface worked before, does not work now
FreeTrack + trackir interfaces doesn't fix it
trackir only interface does'nt fix it
dummy trackIR.exe doesn't fix it
NPClient verified
not working on 1.5 x64
not working on 2.0

edit: i wonder if the "facetracknoir supported games.csv" list is now out of date

pretty much what I thought. But I've also asked on reddit and it seems that it is working fine for most people.

Thanks, I gave your settings a try but no luck. Well the issue seems to be that facetracknoir doesn't detect horizon, not sure why.. I even tried reinstalling facetracknoir.

I have the same problem. FacetrackNoIr using 3-point LED headset with freetrack 2.0 protocol. Working totally fine before the upgrade. After the upgrade stopped working at all.
I'm testing with 64-bit version, 32-bit just doesn't launch for me.
I hope devs will fix this, because I got used to headtracking so much, that without it, it's ruining the game for me. And I'm definitely not buying Horizons without this fixed :p

Having the same issue with horizons, noticed that the facetracker ui says that "an unknown game is connected" is that normal? or is that the problem, and we simply need a new CSV?

FacetrackNoIR doesnt even acknowledge that a game is running for me. I've tried with both freetrack and trackir enabled, checked if the registry path was actually poointing to the NPClient, but it still doesn't work.

Maybe FacetrackNoIR guys need to update their SupprtingGames.csv (or what it was ever called) as the executable name of elite hase changed form postfix 32.exe to 64.exe, maybe

Hi Guys,

I too have been having this issue, but i found a fix for mine just this evening - does not look like this fix has been posted yet so though i would share.. I noticed that facetracknoir actually worked if i chose Single Player Combat Training but not 64bit or 32bit anymore off the Elite logon page.

Then realised that when using that option the game was using some different keybindings. So i had a look at the bindings in game and as we all know that the headlook should be set to 'Direct' in the 'Headlook Axis' binding which allows facetracknoir to work, but in this case in the single player it was using 'Accumulative'. So i went into my 64bit game and changed the binding on Headlook Axis Mode from Direct to Accumaltive and it worked straight away! you also must have the CSV file Facetracknoir Supported games.csv in the settings folder as everyone mentioned before.. if your not sure if you have the latest.. the one i am using has 506 lines in it.. with the last line being SimCraft. You will find Elite Dangerous on line 497. Note the one on sourceforge is an old version.. Hope this helps you guys.. good luck!

Can you perhaps attach or link the updated CSV file please?

Found it:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/facetracknoir/files/FaceTrackNoIR Supported Games.csv/download

I put this updated CSV file in Freetrack > Settings folder and it works great now...

...good work @Enopho

Hi Gingerwing, yes i just checked your CSV file and it is the same as mine, so well done you finding it.. sorry i did not reply earlier, been away for xmas break :) also glad my instructions helped getting your facetracknoir to work properly.

Good flying . Eno

I'm a bit of a n00b with regards to this FaceTrackNoIR thing. Can someone maybe help me get it working with E D Horizons?
