If you have an account that you played Horizons on then buying Odyssey adds-on to that experience, you still log-on using the same launcher, you just have access in the launcher to the Odyssey version. It effectively acts as a "gate" to the Odyssey-specific features (on-foot and atmospheric planets) so it is not a separate game, it is an expansion / DLC.
