Horizons as a second account...

So just purchased a full un-discounted Horizons for my son to play.

NO access to ED from the downloaded launcher. " not eligible to play Elite: Dangerous"

Don't know if this is an oversight as the announcement was clear that buying Horizons included original ED. If i have to wait forfor the second account to be activate at christmas will get my money back.

This needs clarifying.

I think this is a bug as this used to happen sometimes around the initial launch and Horizons should give you access to ED. Given the stress on the store today I wouldn't be surprised it it just burped a bit and didn't auth the account to launch. I would ticket it.

Yeah maybe wait until the store gets sorted. Hopefully you can still download vanilla elite: dangerous without waiting for horizons to drop :)

Well this is the plan, but like all well laid plans....

My stress levels are growing as my son who is still 8yo is chomping to start playing after he saw CQC and Horizons coming. Yes he has the attention span of a high functioning goldfish but if he does not want it after a few weeks i am sure i can use it... ;)

Cqc is out for pc in Sept :) or at least that's what it says on Frontiers site.

Well, it seems like you'll have to wait until Horizons is up to play the base game too.

I think it doesn't make sense at all and I don't know if I can ask for a refund or something.

Pre purchasing Horizons does not give you access to elite as it stands, you have to wait until Horizons is released, this has been made clear by several dev posts.

Where exactly? I mean, if you want to purchase something do you have to dive in dozen of posts to know what you need to know?

It's not in the FAQ, not in the product page. It's not an easily (for stupid people like me) accessible information. It should be clearer and in a bold font if needed.

The fact that it is a pre-order should be enough, though it could certainly be made clearer, also this:
