Horizons Beta & Lifetime Expansions - The Law on Distance Sales Act

Ok, put your money where your mouth is then. If you can prove this legal right beyond what I have pointed out exists under the CCR I will pay for Horizons for you. Otherwise you donate the same amount to a charity of my choosing. Fair enough?

30 days is the limit under the CCR, reasonable time is simply existing contractual law. Prove that FD is breaking the law if they don't release in that timeframe and you'll have your money.

All you get is the right to rescind - nothing more.

I read everywhere that a lot people playing this game are adults, given that most of them played the old ED or at least mature gamers given the content of this product... but when I see all these whiny posts about the expansions these people can't be older than 12.

Why? The time of getting any content is as of yet not known so pointless to say more other than please Close Thread. It has turned up some interesting debate and facts.

Stop asking for the thread to be closed! You obviously felt strongly enough about this issue to create the thread, you should therefore feel strongly enough about the comments to keep the thread open. Asking for the thread to be closed is just admitting you went off without due diligence.

It begain with 30days. It moved onto reasonable time. I thus feel we have explored all possible areas but thread bombing hate against each other is not a discussion. There is no more to add as you have just proved by getting argumentative.
Please close this thread.

Sure, close the thread. And while you're at it, please close the OP's forum account as well...

God, not another armchair lawyer?

This one's been done to death in the past... Just use common-sense when buying things and only if (when?) things go wrong should you consider looking at the legal side of things... There IS always cover/recourse for the consumer when things aren't delivered or go wrong. Better still, pay by credit card and let the card companies worry about redress...

Now just relax, buy the game and enjoy it....

Funny thing is that FD actually got it's Beta access timeframe covered in the product description when you buy

From the page:
"Elite Dangerous: Horizons Beta gains you access to a whole season of gameplay expansions for Elite Dangerous before release"
As long as Beta purchasers get the ability to try it before the actual product is released, they are more than fine...

Started off ok. Ended with childish unnecessary personal snipes.

Closed at OPs request.
