Horizons still shows as a separate launch option after fold-down?

I may have missed something, but I thought the horizons expansion had been folded down into the main game? But, the launcher still shows both options when starting the game. Is this intentional? Will the non-horizons launch option be deprecated or merged at some point?

Probably when EDO is officially released.

At the moment you can load the base game to recover to orbit if your SRV gets stuck - so I hope they keep the base game option on the launcher.
