Think ships should be fitted with a horn so we can notify other ships they are in our way. Ai should respond by writing sideways or getting a move on and Players would realise some one is behind them. Especially useful in docking areas, Could have a New work style traffic jam situation! would be fun and easy to implement...A button to take out our frustrations on with out lethal force being part of it

Not working, no sound in space. The lights system could be expanded though. Different signal lights in addition to the simple headlight we have now. I do turn that on during landing and departure anyway. But that's rather for other commanders than the AI, which already does react to the ship itself. Unfortunately that currently either involves mad turning and crashing into the slot cage, or a dead stop right in my way. Someone teach the AI that reverse thrust exists, so they can back off then move aside.
<beep><beep>There's no sound in space but that doesn't stop the pewpewpew <beep> if computer is simulating battle noises for extra situational awareness then they could do the horns as well <beep><beep>.

Remember that sounds you hear outside of your spaceship aren't actually generated by the objects outside your ship, but are generated by your ship for the benefit of the pilot's awareness. So a horn could be made (a ship "beeps its horn", sending a signal to your ship that it interprets as "hooooonk!" or "beep beep" or "Get the heck outta da way!"). Jesus, such a thing would be so potentially annoying. People will follow others around honking constantly, which will lead otherwise law abiding pilots to lash out with "road rage" against the other annoying commander. Which, on the other hand, such notifications could be limited to one per minute or so. Like everything else I guess the usefulness of such a feature would depend on how its developed.
