Horrible blue-ish bright space

Hello everyone,

i love Eite VR so far, but there is one thing i hate about it. The space.

In my CV1 it's not black. There are horrible greyish-blue dust-clouds everywhere. The entire space is filled with them. [down]
The result is a blue-ish bright sphere with a milky way texture and stars on it. This looks entirely wrong to me.

I try to set the gamma slider to the lowest possible setting, but this results in less stars and way too dark objects with less visible details. I know that this came with an update after the premium beta period. Before that the space was perfect.

Is there a way to get rid of these annoying and immersion-killing grey-blue dust clouds? Maybe in some editing file?

Thanks

I don't think the space itself has changed at all for me - the dithering has smoothed it slightly, and I think it adds a nice depth. The colour banding is 99% gone, which was the main issue for a lot of folks.

I'd suggest setting the gamma etc to defaults (on your monitor and in ED) and adjusting from there? Many people will have made changes to try to avoid the banding etc, then a rendering change lke this occurs and everything looks terrible suddenly :) I had to roll back a few settings and it looks great for me now.

You're right - space in ED has never really been black for me either (in some spots out from the bubble it is pretty dark though).

Everyone's perception of colour and depth is a little different. We have settings to 'adjust' FD's intended rendering of space in ED's Stellar Forge, but we can't change it that much.

hmmm, never thought about that. which monitor settings make a difference in color etc within the HMD?
