Horizons Horrible Launcher Download Speeds

if there is one thing I believe needs improvement in Elite currently its the download speed of the launcher. This day an age with P2P file sharing options there is no reason for the launcher Downloads to be as slow as they are. Yes I understand many people are downloading at once however every other game I have played are much faster then this. 0.11 MB/s on a 120 Mb connections is terrible.

Please FD look into how the launcher currently handles downloads or allow us other methods to get the files when not available on steam.

What do you expect from a launcher that can't even update itself?
And yeah I got the same issues, I circumvented half a day of downloading by just throwing the beta folder at it, seemed to have worked as far as I can tell.

I set it to download 13 hours ago. Got home from work, found some random error. Restarted. It had downloaded a whopping 322 mb. Youre :):):):):):):) kidding me! Back to 0.02 mb with a 3 day eta. So glad I pre ordered or I might not have a functional piece of software until 2055

It would not be so bad if I had my steam key to activate it there as the download speeds for me exceed 16 MB/s on steam which is why I avoid this launcher.
