Horrible stuttering!

I just logged on for my evening play, got in my ship and was leaving Orrere for Uszaa. I got some slight stuttering leaving the station and didn't think anything of it. I jump to Uszaa and when I exit the jump, the game freezes for 5 seconds causing me to slam into the star. I manager to get out and it stutters again for another 5 seconds causing even more heat damage. I enter cruise to head towards Guest Installation and just when I am about to exit cruise, it stutters again! I have never had the game stutter this bad! I can just imagine it stuttering when I am trying to enter or exit a station causing me to crash.... Oh the fines!

Anyone else experiencing this right now?

It just did it again when I jumped from Uszaa to Diso. It also stutters when I try and plot a route in the galaxy map. Time to call it quits for the night!

It has gotten nearly unplayable at RES sites. Big harsh stutters that even cause the exhaust behind my ship to appear in front of it.

And I'm running an i5-4960, GTX 970 and 8GB of RAM. Quite upsetting that asteroid rings have gotten so severely borked.

I'm running an i7-4790k processor with 16gigs of ram and a Geforce GTX 970 video card. Never had this problem this badly before.

not had this problem for a while. I solved stuttering by restricting frame rate. #40fps.
I've not played for a few days.
will post if I have this issue

update.
just installed new launcher. fired up no problem, did four jumps . no stuttering.
my system is not OC and ram is at 1600mhz.
