Guys and gals. Terrorists want you to be angry, they want to you to be afraid, or to otherwise react on instinct.

Don't let them. Infuriating as this is, they are pinpricks. ISIS tends to claim responsibility, but these rabid dogs are like school shooters. The more visibility they have on the media, the more will be inspired to commit such a murder-suicide.

I actually leave my car doors unlocked...just no valuables inside. I'd rather they rummage through my garbage than bust my window in...happened once before too...unlucky for them, they left with a coin jar full of pennies drenched in battery acid.

The problems with 2 opposing cultures clashing are many and complicated. Trying to attribute motive in any evil is tough. So in a sense calling it a simple crime could be more honest. Until they say why they did whatever. But I do believe it is important to decide what one personaly believes(right/wrong purpose for life individually, family and nation) and be able to defend those beliefs with words and be willing to defend them at all costs if necessary.

The real problem is, if the opposition does not go the battlefield what you choose and create, than you must go after them, because? Sometimes one side must clash / keep the other down. ;)

Well that, and that one side considers civilians as 'part' of the battlefield, it is an attack on a culture, it isn't really a well defined like other wars have been.
This isn't <We want to get x material good>

its more like <We want to kill those that think like x that is different from us> straight up xenophobia.

And when battlefield is ideologi those that lose are civilians :(

I think the real problem is a nut job crashed a truck into innocent people in Sweden and people are contemplating the meaning.

There's nothing the West can do to stop it. It's a cultural problem in the middle east, it's a problem they have to solve themselves. What we should do is provide an environment that encourages them to solve it.

Encourage stability and democracy, stop propping up strongman dictators. Education, economical prospects and equality. That's what the Middle-East needs. Doing right by the Palestinians and the Kurds would be a good start.

If it wasn't the middle east, it would be somewhere else.

ETA today, gave up their arms. A symbolic gesture, but still an end to hostilities. Little news for the world in general, but very costly for the people of Spain for decades.

Is Stockholm IS incited? Not sure myself and still have to question the motives and trigger, for the Westminster thing. To me, just another wannabe coward; committing a crime.
