horror/ spooky theme suggestions - and backpacks

so ive seen a few people post the horror/ spooky theme as a suggestion, but not really any ideas for it. i wanted to try and give a crack at a few suggestions for mutiple sections. foliage, toys, gifts, props, and a few rides. i understand that some of these things probably cant be done and possibly none of these ideas will even make it, but what harm could it cause to offer them up anyway? [happy]

and hey, maybe this could serve as a central thing for spooky suggestions. =]

i tried my best to avoid brand-ish names like gummy worms and avoid anything used in roller coaster tycoon. which is why there is a lack of witches hats/ top hats. trying to make more origonal and less generic items that i would love to see. [heart]

got a few drawings to go along with them.

foliage:

top left is a twisted tree, could possibly used as a fantasy tree as well if a brighter color pallet was used and leaves added on top.
top right is a vulture/ crow/ bat tree (possibly more of a prop of sorts then foliage). a tree with either crows, hanging bats, or vultures staring down, really good to hang over/ close to pathways.
skeleton tree (agian, more of a prop of sorts). a tree with over grown vines surrounding it with an entangled skeleton at the base.
hand tree, a tree with all the end branches looking like hands.

toys, gifts, food/ drinks:

(sorry if these are hard to see)

food (almost bottom left):

wolf/ moon cookies
- large cookies that look like the moon with possibly a wolf howling sillouette.
blood suckers (pun intended) - bright red large sucker pops that look a little like dripping blood.
fruity (gummy) snakes - large chewy snakes
fruity crawlers - chewy bag of fake insects/ snakes and such
poisoned apples - based on a real kind of caramel apple with a creepy design.

drinks (full bottom left):
witches brew - a possible coffee like drink with bubbly foam at the top in a fake mini cauldron for a cup.
blood bags - bags filled with fruit juice for all those vampires out there. (based on a Halloween candy blood bag)

snake venom??? - a drink with a snake coiling around a mug.
cracked dragon egg (possibly for the fantasy theme more) - a mug made to look like a large broken egg.

toys (middle):

vampire teddy bear - a teddy bear with little fangs and a vampire cape/ outfit.
stuffed wolf - a stuffed wolf in black, grey, white, and brown colors
mummy doll - a stuffed doll with a mummy theme
stuffed snake - basically what is says. XD i personally love this one as its been my goal to get a stuffed snake at every theme park ive visited. so far i have 8 in my collection. =]
stuffed centipede and stuffed spider - same thing
false vampire fangs - basically what it says.
bag of rubber crawly's - bags of creepy crawls that guests could possibly scare others with.
werewolf paws (paired with mask??) - werewolf themed gloves (with mask as well??)
stuffed crow - basically what it says.

hats:

devil/ monster horns
werewolf/ wolf ears
spider hat with a sort of stuffed spider
bat wings. just wings or, like the spider, a stuffed bat entirely
dragon head/ skull possibly like the egg cup, more for fantasy theme. possibly whole head (with bottom jaw) looking like its nomming the persons head. or just the top (no bottom jaw) and it just sits on top like a basic hat.

backpacks and lockers!!!!

iam surprised i havint seen a suggestion for this! real theme parks want you to lose as much money as possible, but if you're carrying 5 bags already what would make you want to buy more stuff? you get tired from lugging things every where and after staring at the 5-10 gift bags you have you mite think "eh, i have enough junk. time to leave". which is why parks offer lockers for storage, or even drop off to your hotels. they free your hands to make you stay longer, buy more stuff AND possibly forget what you bought so you buy the same things again!!

backpacks, besides looking nice on guests, can offer extra portable storage. allowing guests to buy more items and leaving hands more free!!

themed backpacks - (confirmed/ spooky themes)
spooky - spider, wolf, bat, pumpkin.
vanilla - mutiple colors
pirate - barrel, treasure chest, cannon, ship
fantasy - dragon, dragon egg, castle, unicorn,
scifi - spaceship/ rocket, robot, UFO (lights up at night?)
western - horse, bull/ cow, barn, train??, money/ robber bag,

rides:

headless horseman carriage ride - guests can ride open carriages, controlled by a headless driver, on a dirt path through a somewhat obstacle scenery. (this is where the anamatronics i talk about next will really come in handy).
themed coaster - head carts resemble a vampire bat or an evil serpent.

anamatronics/ scare-tronics

pop out snake
- a hidden, small, anamotronic snake that shoots forward when a guest gets too close to the "active" path its connected too. scaring the guests nearby.
huge attacking snake - a huge snake that "attacks" passing guests. used for rides like coasters and such.
howling/ growling werewolf - and anamotronic werewolf that "attacks" passing guests or just for scenery to howl at the sky/ moon. used for rides or scenery.
hungry wild wolfs - really useful if paired with the carriage ride. watching hungrily at passing guests from above an to the sides. some just slightly move, others howl, and a few growl.
attack giant spider - also good with the carriage ride. imagine guests riding through a cave, only to be terrified by a huge tarantula anamatronic jumping out at them.

and thats about it. =] if i think of any more ideas ill add them and feel free to post your own possible ideas for the spooky/ horror theme. try to AVOID things already used in the roller coaster tycoon series (witches/ top hats/ the vampire bloodshakes) or "generic things" that tend to be repeated over and over ( scary trees, pumpkin decorations, anything too Halloween costume-ish.)

also remember this is a child friendly game, so avoid anything too gruesome and Gorey. sorry for the mega long post. =] [up]

When I read "backpacks" I thought "...why?" but I do like the idea for lockers... they did have changing stalls for the pools in RCT3 +Soaked! which I think is all we really need though.

because in terms of realism, which the devs have mentioned trying to stick to, usually when ever ive been to amusement parks the lockers they offer are either, expensive rent, puny, or incredibly inconvenient. Disney offers them, but there all located at the front of the park and offer no locker delivery(only Disney hotel room delivery), so in order to drop anything off, youd have to walk all the way back to the entrance. and thats if they offered them at all.

game limitations on lockers such as buying a huge locker warehouse space somewhere in your park or all over your park could be quite annoying to some players. having this huge building for just lockers and making it bigger and bigger as more guests come in. this is in realism terms, so having something the size of a food/ drink stall wont exactly make sense to do.

RCT -soaked changing shacks were just that, changing shacks. the peeps still had to carry/ buy the suits from stalls. the changing rooms didint hold the swim suits. and they only held the other stuff for as long as the peep was in the pool area. soon as they left they got all there items back to hold. even peeps had a limit of what they could carry in there hands.

in real life people wouldn't just drop all there stuff in a changing stall and leave it unattended for hours then get it all back after. (the stalls must be the tardis with all the stuff it held for the 100s of visiting peeps.)

backpacks allow convenience while at a cheaper price. if you rent out lockers, some guests mite not want them because of how high the price is. back packs can sell cheap anywhere in small shops and promote buying more gifts.

I just wanted to let you know you and I have very similar ideas. I actually want to go with this in a game I'm working on. This would work really well if you ended up having a first-person mode and you could visit other parks. Imagine buying custom stuff from another person's park.
