Hostile, at Last?

3 days....
But like someone said, if you can find a system they are in and don't control the station, you can clear it quicker by running missions for them.
Killing Pirate ships does it.
You think you're doing good but the faction involved gets annoyed with you.

Prefer the original days when being hostile meant that any ships or wing leaders belonging to the faction would start red and aggressive. Made life interesting when hunting in RES. But as with most things FD got soft.

They don't start off red. But after scanning me they do turn red and attack. Ok, currently i have a bounty, so I am wanted, but i'm sure i've had hostile faction ships attack me even when i've not had a bounty as well.

Just beore and after 2.4 I was working on getting my Sirius permit and was initially working out of Sothis. While in Ceos I took a wetwork mission for unknown targets in Sothis. When I arrived, I was ordered to take out 12 passenger ships. At first I was going to reject it outright, but then a wedding barge sails by...

Anyway, it was somehwere around the 6th or 7th murder that I became hostile to apparently everyone. Suddenly I was being interdicted every minute, and every time I dropped out of SC for any reason, I was joined by a seemingly endless barage of hostile system authority vessels. I tried to go to the station, but it was also red, and as soon as I dropped out of SC, it oppened fire on me.

I was also starting into PP to earn some pack hounds, so I've gotten used to being wanted and harrassed by hostile faction ships and system authority vessels, but this was entirely different.

Each additional kill towards the mission really felt like an acomplishment, and I definately felt that the environment had become extreemly hostile. By the 10th kill it was far more hairy than playing CGs in open, because nearly every ship on the radar was red and swarming to get behind me for an interdiction.

I actually didn't score the last two kills before the time ran out, and I've not returned to Sothis.

I checked my messages, and when they informed me that I was hostile, I was ordered to leave the system immediately, and informed that they would be contacting me in the comming weeks with details on how I could regain access, or something to that effect.

I've not received such a message, but I've not been back in the area either. If I do receive a message and there is something interesting there, I will report back.

I use a nearby system for a steady source of BH revenue and regularly farm the HAZRES sites.

I've got quite a few NPC kills over the time I've played, but only these last few days has a faction turned hostile to me to the point that systems and stations are now actively hostile (and labeled as such), refusing landing rights and shooting at me.

It seems as if there has been a change in the behavior that has made this "hostile" behavior more common.

Has anybody observed this, or is that I "crossed a line" that I just hadn't gone over before?

It's not a hindrance, just won't travel to those locales any more. BTW, if they didn't have such an active criminal population, I wouldn't shoot them.

No changes AFAIK. Its one of those mechanics that works well but is badly triggered. It should be triggered *way* sooner, and should be part of C&P. Its obnoxious you get to kill dozens if not hundreds of innocent people before they start caring.

Yup. And superpower-wide hostile status as well. You could be 'banned' from the Empire so to speak. But people whined and moaned, so now its been nerfed into the ground. Who cares about being banned in one tiny system after dozens of murders? :(

I see a few of my best informants in this thread.
I was in LHS 2094 CG and shooting a wanted. Another wanted who was under attack was on his last percent ( I presume) and flew behind the one I was shooting at.
Suddenly ... "Murder! ... shoot the murderer"

I flew to another system and port. I just did a search of "Murder" in the forums, but can't see a definitive course of actions to take.
Please tell me what I need to do, as I don't want to be scanned again.

If this is 'Me Bad' I will transfer my post to it's own thread.

It appears that the one that was near death was struck by one of your shots and then, you "killed" it and therefore a murderer.

Recently, NPC's have developed a bad habit of flying in front of your guns w/o warning, I've had it happen quite a few times now, so it's a thing and reported elsewhere.

(Could be) Part of recent unannounced changes from FD. SJA AKA "MoM" has been previously observed to have made some cryptic comments in regards to upcoming changes.

NPC's could be turning to the dark side.

Thanks for that Captain.
I entered Murder Bounty into the search and found that I can't do anything till the timer runs out. The difference to me and the info is that my timer is 4 and a half days, where the info says they are all 7 days.
I have to take a 4 day break next week so I suppose it doesn't matter if I get scanned by security. CG finishes in a day or two.
