Hi all, been lurking around here since Gamma now and have been playing my share of ED. I like it a lot, brings back memories - in a good way! The one feature I'd like is planetside landings, other than that I'm pretty happy with how things feel (especially now with 2.03).
I got one question though, or rather a couple:
For a while now I've got Reputation: Hostile with the Federation - and I've no idea why! I accidentally crashed into a station at the beginning (don't look at the nav screen when those arms are swinging around in front of you...); that is pretty much the only event I can imagine led to this. I'm a peaceful guy otherwise, only killing when shot at first, paying any fines should I draw some... is this Rep problem caused by that crash?
Now I'm flying around the verse, doing the odd mission and cargo run when something's on my route or is profitable enough, or sounds like it will help the Rep issue - but not much dice mostly. At the moment the Federation Rep is even down-trending, again I did not do anything to cause that! I've been doing mining and almost no missions before 2.02 and then it was trending up - so what causes these trends?
Finally what's the best way to positively influence the Rep with a faction? Doing missions only seems to have very very limited influence, also I guess I'm doing missions for the wrong factions...
Any inputs appreciated - not that I care much about what the Feds think, but I'll be in their space for some time yet, also recently some stupid security force shot at me in a no-fire zone around a station, actually following me in until I vanished into the hangar!
