Hostiles in wings not appearing as 'red' on radar

I'm getting this quite a lot, is this a bug or is there something I should be doing?

It happens when I'm engaging a WANTED target in a wing. The ship I shoot at turns red but his wingmates don't when they return fire.
This can carry on sometimes until I eventually find where the firing is coming from, scan to see that he's wanted and only then when I shoot at him he does then show as red. But this can take a while in a busy RES. The ship attacking me is bringing down my shields so it's not like he's firing and missing!

What makes it especially annoying is whilst I'm engaging the first wingmate the other two are damaging me but my turrets are not shooting back. I've made sure the turrets are set to fire at will (also annoying that they defer to target only on log out).

Anyone else have this issue?

Yes I have seen this issue when mining

An NPC scans me, then tells me they will 'shoot me up', when I target the next hostile there is nobody red on the scanner, even though they are shooting at me. Not ideal.

It also might be that you have Report Crimes turned off in the function menu. Many commanders prefer to turn this off for various reasons. As of 1.3, AI can get wanted by accidentally firing on other AI or bumping things. This is notable when there is a Clean wing of 3, and two cobras are guarding a mining vessel. One of the cobras may accidentally fire on something causing him to become wanted. If you fire on the Cobra to claim the 400 credit bounty, his wings (the miners) will attack you. If you do not have Report Crimes turned on, they will stay clean. Otherwise its a bug. Might be something to do with Faction issues and alliances. There were lots of bugs like that in 1.2 and pre1.2.
